My name is Albert Eames 19year old who plays for Watford FC.
How would you describe your style as a right-back?
I’m a right back who most importantly loves to defend and prides myself defensively but also enjoy getting forward to contribute with attacking play.
What do you remember most vividly about your very first day at the Watford academy?
Can’t remember was so long ago u8, properly quite nervous only knew 1 person beforehand.
Did anyone from the coaching staff or the youth squad make that first day easier for you?
Yes Josh Mullins I knew from before, best mate since 5years old same Sunday League and both at Watford now.
Do you remember your first match for Watford’s youth sides, and how did it go?
Don’t remember it to be honest.
What were your first impressions when you joined Chelmsford on loan?
Change in many aspects, facilities, quality of players, playing style etc.
What has been the biggest challenge of your career so far, and how did you overcome it?
Being released u14, had covid so trained at home then came back to Watford for 6weeks to get fit (for released boys) then new coaches offered me new contract.
What has the loan spell taught you about resilience and confidence?
Game of opinions, made me hungrier to play at higher levels. Keep going and your time will come.
Looking back now, what do you think changed the most about you from the moment you arrived to who you are as a player today?
Always stayed humble most important thing and keep working hard and you’ll get rewarded.
What are your short-term goals with Watford’s U21s this season?
Get some games, see what happens potentially go on loan play first team football.
