Interview:

I’m a hard working, grafting, old school type defender. Probably best known for my long throw. I’m an experienced player with leadership qualities.

I was at Leeds academy from the age of 7 to 15 and then moved to Barnsley after a successful trial. Daryl Pugh was the academy manager at both and Leeds and Barnsley and a family friend.

I was released from Barnsley and came to a sticking point in my career. I didn’t know where to go next and how to get into men’s football. Luckily my local non league team Goole took me under there wing.

Pickering were the league above goole and I wanted to make stepping stones up the leagues. So that’s why I moved to Pickering.

I enjoyed my time at Pickering under Paul Marshall. He looked after me and taught me how the non league game worked. Paul left the club and his assistant Denny Ingram took over the club. Me and denny never got on and I left the club straight away.

My full debut was Southport away. A nice ground, with a good few fans there. I played right back and had a good game and we drew 1-1. It was a good debut.

My best game had been Darlington away a few seasons ago. I scored and got an assist and we won.

By far I have learnt the most at Alfreton Town under Billy Heath. He has taught be everything about football in the conference. He’s an excellent manager with a proven track record of winning games and being successful.

Personal goals is to have another good season for Alfreton and we want to win the league. We have been in the play offs the last 2 seasons. So why can’t we win the league.
