🎙️ INTERVIEW
Introduce yourself…
I’m Osian Ellis and I play for Caernarfon Town in the JD Welsh prem.
Where did your love for football begin, and who first encouraged you to take it seriously?
Probably when I was about 4-5 years old as my dad always tells me I just started kicking a ball around the house at an early age.
How did the opportunity to join Caernarfon Town come about?
I’ve been at Caernarfon’s academy since I was about 7-8 years old so I’ve always been around the club really and the people involved etc.
What stood out to you about the club when you first arrived?
Well when I first arrived at the first team training I was shocked at the physicality compared to academy football and realised that it’s a big step up from junior football and it would take some time to adapt.
Osian, can you describe the emotions you felt walking onto the pitch for your senior debut?
When I walked out for my senior debut I was a bit nervous but also excited as I remember thinking I have to play well but also enjoy it.
What do you remember most about that first appearance, the pace, the physicality, or the atmosphere?
Yeah it was very physical and the pace was different to playing academy football. The atmosphere was good as well as it was the last game of the season and it was match to get us into the 4th place in the league.

How do you assess your performances and the team’s progress this season?
My performances have been not too bad this season I have played most of my games coming off the bench and try to be sharp when I’ve been coming on, the team will progress and hopefully get Europe this season.
What does it mean to represent Caernarfon Town in front of the supporters week in, week out?
Means a lot as I’ve grew up supporting the club and being with all the fans behind the goal since o was a little kid, so I know what it means to the fans to win games and do well as im a massive fan myself.
Are there particular areas of your game you’re still working hard to improve?
I’m trying to improve all areas of my game all the time, as I’m trying to be the best player I can be and deliver consistent performances all the time.
What ambitions do you have with Caernarfon Town going forward?
I have massive ambitions as I would love to play for Caernarfon Town in Europe one day and a win would top and European performance with the club.
