Introduce yourself…
My name is Tylor love-Holmes I play for Truro City as a right wing back.
How would you describe yourself as a player, and what are your strongest qualities as a defender?
I would describe myself as an engine on the pitch and my best quality as a defender would be my 1v1 defending.
What do you do to unwind and relax when you’re not playing or training?
To relax and unwind when not playing football, I go to the gym or play golf.
How do you mentally and physically prepare for big matches?
Mentally For big games I just try to block out all the outside noise and just focus on my own game and physically I always know in myself that I will be ready.
You joined Truro City in July 2024 after playing for Saltash United in the Western League, what motivated your move and how did your experience at Saltash shape your game?
Moving to Truro City just motivated me that my dream is still out there and it is now all down to me to grab it with both hands, however Saltash prepared me for that really well gave me the experience in the men’s game and gave me the confidence to play at a higher level.
Were there any differences in playing style or coaching philosophy between Saltash United and Truro that helped you adapt further?
The only difference is that the quality is a lot higher and the game is faster the higher you go up the leagues so I knew in myself that I need to work on my quality and faster on and off the ball.
After signing, you made 20 appearances and helped Truro win the National League South title—how did you navigate that transition so quickly?
To be honest I got thrown into the deep end so I took it one game at a time and adapted really quickly.
Looking back on your standout performances, are there moments or games in particular that you feel defined your season?
For me your always as good as you last game you played so I was just happy I help my team and was a part of a league winning side in my first season there.
Looking ahead to the National League, what areas of your game are you most focused on improving over the next season?
The areas I am improving on is my final product and quality to make sure I can help my team and myself be better.
10 Ambitiously, where do you see your career going in the next 3‑5 years?
In the next 3-5 years I would like to see myself in the top 4 leagues but we will have to see what happens, that’s for me to Knuckle down and keep working hard till I get that opportunity.
